Cellular and data coverage can be spotty at times.
If your mobile phone is disconnected from the data network, the actions on the mobile app – confirming delivery or collecting signatures, for example – are stored on the phone and cached.
A banner is displayed to the drivers as a warning (see below screenshot). During this time, the driver can still continue to use to app per usual.
It's important to note that the route planner/dispatcher will not see any updates on the Dispatcher View until the driver is able to get online again.
Once the mobile phone re-establishes a connection, that information will be pushed to Routific and the Dispatcher View will be updated at that time.
Using Google Maps Offline
It may be useful for you to download a map area to use offline. This way, even if you lose signal, you can still have access to Google Maps and navigation.
